Brian Tallet
Resident Pro - Captain of Camps, Trainings and Clinics
Brian Tallet’s journey from a national champion to a World Series winner is a masterclass in perseverance and versatility. A 6′ 6″ southpaw from Oklahoma, Tallet first made waves at LSU, where he served as a cornerstone of the Tigers’ rotation during their 2000 NCAA National Championship run. His dominance in college made him a high-priority prospect, leading to a second-round selection by the Cleveland Indians in the 2000 MLB Draft.
Tallet’s professional career is defined by his ability to adapt and deliver in high-pressure roles. Over nine seasons in the Big Leagues, he became a reliable fixture for the Toronto Blue Jays, seamlessly transitioning between the bullpen and the starting rotation. Whether eating innings as a long reliever or taking the mound for 25 starts in a single season, his durability and competitive edge set him apart. He reached the pinnacle of the sport in 2011, capturing a World Series ring with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Today, Tallet brings that elite experience back to New Orleans and the diamond. He focuses on mentoring the next generation of pitchers, teaching the mechanical precision and mental toughness required to reach the highest level. His career serves as a roadmap for aspiring players: prove yourself at every level, stay adaptable, and always keep your eyes on the championship.
We are thrilled that Coach Tallet will be at the helm (or, spearheading) of Swing Hub’s clinic, camp and training programs. His extensive knowledge and dedication to the sport will undoubtedly enhance every aspect of our work and growth (or, provide the support necessary for our players to reach their potential/personal goals).
